Dr. Abe wins composition award from UK

The Reverend Fred Pratt Green (2 September 1903 – 22 October 2000) was a British Methodist minister and a gifted, prolific hymnodist. I have always loved the lyrics of one of his most famous hymns, “When in Our Music God is Glorified.” This year I set the lyrics to original music and dedicated the setting to Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church, where I was Composer in Residence/Minister of Music before I moved to NC. The tune name is “Spirit of Peace.”
