My Brothers and Sisters,

Below is the link to the newsletter from the Cultural Arts Centre (CAC) of Tumaini University Makumira in Tanzania.  The newsletter describes the history and mission of the CAC, shows pictures of the four new structures and people using them.  The Performance Building features a stage, 400 seats, and state of the art audio and lighting equipment in addition to classrooms.  The Conference Building has seating for 50 with A/V capabilities. The Dance Studio with a wood floor and mirrors is impressive.  The Drum Building houses offices, exhibit space, video editing facilities and more. These buildings dedicated in July, 2017, are all handicap accessible, and will bring energy, joy, and job opportunities to many, many people in the area.  You will also see a picture of the only concert grand piano at an East African University in all of East Africa.

Please note as well, the picture of the Drum Building lit up at night; an inspiring sight for local people.  The project was initiated by the Music Department and supported by the European Union Development Fund, Tumaini University Makumira, the CAC staff, and thousands of donors.  World House Music and it’s supporters are delighted to have contributed this exciting project.

Peblejah!
