Diddlely Diddlely Dee Da, Whah, Whah, Whah!
On the lighter side….
So after I fed my (then) 4 month old grandson, he would invariably go completely limp in my lap with an expression of total ecstasy, as if he had finished an 8 course meal in a 5 star restaurant in Paris. This weekend (5 months later) reminiscing about those earlier months, I wrote this song from the baby’s perspective.
Diddlely Diddlely Dee Da, Whah, Whah, Whah!
Refrain:
Diddlely diddlely dee da whah, whah, whah!
Mama’s milk,
Mama’s milk,
There’s nothing quite like Mama’s milk.
Straight from Mom or a bottle from Dad,
It’s the very best milk that can be had.

1
Better than a dinner in Paree [Fr. pronunciation of “Paris]
It’s infant culinary ecstasy.
It’s home made, heated naturally,
Especially brewed just for me.
Refrain
2
Whenever I need it, I can have it,
Every two hours is a very nice habit,
I can chug it or just dab it.
I just wah, wah and I have it.
Refrain
3
Hey Mom, I just realized,
This milk isn’t pasteurized.
And yesterday you ate mango pies
So today’s flavor wins the prize!
Refrain
4
Mommy smiles at me as I have my fill,
Daddy marvels as I feast and chill,
Grandmas and grandpas may be over the hill,
But they feed me milk and get a thrill.
Coda:
Mama’s milk is the best,
Yes, that’s true….
But formula is very good too!
Diddlely diddlely dee da, whah, whah, whah!
