SUMMARY:Milwaukee premier of "Called To A Vision: Celtic Ngoma"
DESCRIPTION:Mr. Myron Heaton\, distinguished director of the Myron Heaton Chorale\,  is offering a two week choral workshop here in Milwaukee which culminates in a concert. I am delighted that Mr. Heaton has agreed to perform my most recent composition\, “Called to a Vision: Celtic Ngoma.”  It will be one of many choral works performed in the program\, which usually lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. \nThe workshop runs from Monday through Friday\, for two weeks from\, 7  – 8:30 PM beginning on Monday 6/13/16.  The concert takes place on Friday\, 6/24/16 at 7 PM.  All Activities take place at Redeemer Lutheran Church.  The workshop is free of charge\, and is open to people of all faiths who like to sing choral music.  For additional information please call Redeemer Lutheran Church\, (414) 933-7004

SUMMARY:Music for Tanzania! Concert for a Cause
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Abe will partner with the Senior and Youth Choirs of Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church\, the Shaw University Choir\, and Dr. Alison Arnold\,  in a program of his original compositions to raise funds to send a piano and scholarship funds to the music department of Tumaini University in Tanzania.  The program entitled\, “Laugh\, Cry\, Dance\, Sigh: Music by Dr. Abe\,” will feature original songs and choral works in several world music styles which incorporate audience participation.  It promises to be an inter-generational\, cross-cultural\, urban suburban\, inter-racial\, multilingual and interdenominational musical party!  Not to be missed!  A free will offering will be requested.

SUMMARY:ELCA Multicultural Youth Leadership Event\, Detroit
DESCRIPTION:MYLE is the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event designed to empower young leaders of color for the ELCA’s (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) mission in the world.  Dr. Abe has been invited to be the pianist for the band for the event.  Stephen Styles\, on traps\, is the musical leader of the group along with Nathaniel Viets-VanLear\, hand percussionist\, who handles logistics.  Also in the band are Timothy Butler and Aisea Taimani\, Ashley Carter who are the primary vocal leaders\,  K.C. Maestro\, the vocalinist\,  Yuke Mineoi\, on guitar\, and Yabetza Vivas Irizarry on bass and vocals.  It is a group of amazing talent and energy\, and Dr. Abe counts himself blessed to be a part of this experience.

SUMMARY:Worship at the Dock\, Ephraim\, WI
DESCRIPTION:The growing relationship between the Moravian Churches in Door County and Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee\, WI has created some new opportunities for ecumenical worship.  One of them is Worship at the Dock in Ephraim\, which is creatively called “Docksology.”  This venue of weekly\, summer outdoor worship was started by Ephraim Moravian Church.  This particular Wednesday\, Rev. Tim Tahtinen\, the dynamic pastor of Spirit of Peace\, will preach.  Worship will be supported by Dr. Abe on piano and Jesse Kozel on percussion.  They will be playing Black Gospel and Latin American Christian music. It will be an exciting\, energizing experience!
