ELCA Multicultural Youth Leadership Event, Detroit

MYLE is the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event designed to empower young leaders of color for the ELCA’s (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) mission in the world.  Dr. Abe has been invited to be the pianist for the band for the event.  Stephen Styles, on traps, is the musical leader of the group along with Nathaniel Viets-VanLear, hand percussionist, who handles logistics.  Also in the band are Timothy Butler and Aisea Taimani, Ashley Carter who are the primary vocal leaders,  K.C. Maestro, the vocalinist,  Yuke Mineoi, on guitar, and Yabetza Vivas Irizarry on bass and vocals.  It is a group of amazing talent and energy, and Dr. Abe counts himself blessed to be a part of this experience.
